Microdermabrasion is often the first treatment experienced by people seeking dermal therapies to improve the appearance of their skin. Tailored treatments can range from a light skin polish for a refreshing glow through to deeper exfoliation to address uneven skin texture, oily congested skin, enlarged pores, and poor lymphatic drainage.

Skin Lab by WPRS offers medical grade microdermabrasion that can be used on the neck, back and hands as well as the face. Our treatment differs from others in that we incorporate lymphatic vacuum massage to bring blood to the surface of the skin, facilitating decongestion of lymph ducts and increasing flow of regenerative lymph fluid. Lymphatic drainage improves circulation and toxin removal.

Suitable for:

Microdermabrasion is suitable for a wide range of skin types and conditions, and the treatment is customised according to your particular skin concern. It can improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dull, lifeless skin
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Congestion
  • Enlarged pores

Microdermabrasion is not suitable for people with active acne breakouts and should be avoided in pregnancy.

How does microdermabrasion work?

Our microdermabrasion treatment incorporates a combination of both crystal and diamond heads which work together to exfoliate and resurface, whilst stimulating collagen production, healing and rejuvenation.

How do I prepare my skin prior to dermal needling?

It is beneficial to prepare the skin with  Synergie Skincare for 2 weeks prior to treatment. This helps to remove dead skin cells and strengthens the skin, in turn decreasing healing time and improving results.

How many treatments will I need?

The treatment can be repeated, and many often choose to do so once every 2-4 weeks to maintain results. Maintenance can be accentuated through the use of appropriate skin care and other treatments.

What can I expect after my treatment?

Microdermabrasion requires minimal down time, although some mild, temporary redness may occur. This can be easily covered with mineral makeup.

What do I use on my skin post-treatment?

To ensure proper healing and minimise complications, our patients follow their treatment with our Synergie post treatment kit. This kit is designed to protect and recuperate your skin. Containing your daily UV protective moisturizer with the anti-inflammatory zinc oxide, a calming facial oil and occlusive skin balm, this kit will allow you to get the most out of your treatments.
