Pre-Treatment
Please notify clinic with any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment, as specific medications or supplements can increase your risk of burning.

4 weeks prior
Allow follicle growth
No waxing, plucking or tweezing at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.
4 WEEKS PRIOR
Remove fake tan
Ensure all fake tan is removed prior to your appointment. Avoid fake tan and sun exposure to treatment area 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
1 WEEK PRIOR
Avoid active skincare
In the days leading up to your appointment, please avoid active skincare products containing cosmeceutical retinol (topical vitamin A) or hydroquinone (whitening creams).
ON THE DAY
Shave and clean
The day of your appointment, please ensure the treatment area is shaved and avoid applying moisturiser or other products to the area.

What to expect
Minimal to no downtime
- There will be some discomfort following the procedure. Residual swelling and redness on the treatment area is perfectly normal, but there is minimal to no downtime.
- Perifollicular edema (small red bumps) is common and resolves with time. Bruising is less common but may occur and will resolve with time.
Post-treatment instructions
Stay cool
- Soothe the treated area with cool water or cool packs immediately post treatment if needed.
- Avoid intentional and direct sunlight to treated area and use a broad spectrum sunscreen regularly.
- Avoid AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin A, Vitamin C or anything perceived as “active” skincare to treated area for 3-5 days post treatment.
- Avoid heat inducing activities: swimming pools, saunas, spas, hot showers and excessive exercise for 1 -2 days post treatment.
- Do not wax or pluck between treatments.
Before your next treatment

- In the days leading up to your appointment, please avoid active skincare products containing cosmeceutical retinol (topical vitamin A) or hydroquinone (whitening creams).
- Avoid sun exposure and fake tan to treatment area 4 weeks prior to treatment.
